Well it's pretty much offical...my dad isn't coming back. He left us about two weeks ago. We (my mom and I) came home that Thursday night (after my class) to find that his stuff was gone. My mom called him and he finally called her back to tell her that he wasn't happy anymore and needed space. He calls me to talk to me and I ask him if he's going to come back and he says that he is and that he just needed space. He tells me that it's not my fault (not that I blamed myself in any way) and that I could call him if I needed anything. The following day he calls to ask how I am and tells me that him and mom were going to meet and see if they could work it out. I leave for my sorority reatreat. I call my mom saturday night and she says that he needs a couple of more days but that everything went well. He didn't tell her anything specific of why he was leaving just he "wasn't happy."
Yesterday my mom calls him and he states that he isn't coming back and apparently said some pretty harsh things. Including that I should quit school and get a job. He would always tell me how proud he was of me with my grades and my scholarships that came from those grades, but appareantly now I'm suppose to quit school so I can help support my mom and brother.
I honestly don't know if I can ever truly forgive him, but I have too. I don't want to condemn my soul over his foolish decision. This will came back to him and he'll regret what he has done. If he does ever come back, I just hope and pray that we won't have to take him back.
Sometimes it just doesn't seem real...but when I see a family out places (with the father there) or something on television, it makes my stomach turn. I hope whoever this woman is that my father left us for is worth all of this.
Please continue to pray for me and my family.

It seems in the world of negatives there is one positive: school starts Monday. I haven't updated in ages. I'm sorry for that as well. There isn't much going on in my life, besides just random ideas and thoughts, that would interest anyone besides those who are involved with me. So far, I have seen Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire twice, opening weekend and last night. I saw Just Friends as well last night. What an adorable movie. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I went to the The Enchanted Garden of Lights up at Rock City for the first time, ever. It was absolutely amazing. Me, Brett, and Trevor got out picture made with Santa, who doesn't love that? I think I've come to the conclusion that I want to quit college and move to Europe. I have a great-aunt and uncle who live in Liverpool and I have family that live in Ireland. I haven't mentioned this to my parents because I know what the answer will be, but in all honestly I just don't see myself sitting in school for the next four years, possibly nine years. I want to travel, which I have never really thought about doing until now. It's not that I'm truly miserable, it's just I'm not all that happy and maybe a change of life would help some. But once again, it's a random idea and there's no promises to whether or not it will be acted upon.
